Maureen Denise McCormick is the younger daughter of Richard McCormick. She was born August 5th, 1956 in Woodland Hills California. Her father worked as an educator at school while her mother was a stay at home mom. Michael Dennis and Kevin are three of her brothers older than her. McCormick has always loved dancing, singing and performing puppet shows. Following her win in her first Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest at the age of 6 an old Pat Domigan called from Jack Wormser Agency to see whether McCormick was interested in getting involved in the industry of entertainment. McCormick was chosen to play in her debut major part in 1964, in the tv spot for Mattels latest doll Baby Pattaburp. In the following year, she starred in another commercial for the companys Chatty Cathy doll and was later cast in the show The Wind It up and It breaks on stage at La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick's audition was among 1200 other children to play the eldest towheaded daughter in The Brady Bunch. The sitcom featured Florence Henderson and Robert Reed who were newlyweds with the same family as a blended one. The five-year run of the show proved to be a huge successful one. McCormick, in her book Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice Published In 2008 McCormick revealed how during the fifth season of the show she almost lost their virginity to brother Barry Williams. She was just 16 when she was in the scene while he was. The timing would not have been ideal for us, she told me.
