Lucy Lawless comes from New Zealand. She is both an actor as well as a musician. Her most notable performances include Xena Warrior Princess and Spartacus Blood and Sand. Her name was often praised and admired especially for her portrayal as Xena. The role was originally meant for the actress Vanessa Angel but ultimately went to Lucy as she was unable to join the filming because of illness.
