After 10 years of dancing and singing classes the mother of her child and she moved for a trip to L.A. to try and explore if a show business career was possible. In just two short months she secured her first paying job performing with Danny Kaye on Danny Kaye Show with Danny Kaye. O'Toole's first role on screen in My Three Sons was followed by appearances in Gunsmoke as well as The Mod Squad. She played in Hawaii Five-O, The Mod Squad, The Partridge Family. O'Toole has been a part of more than 40 shows on television. Despite her popularity on TV and in movies her passion lies in theater. The actress decided after her six year run on Smallville was finished, to concentrate on theater exclusively. That's what she's been doing since the at the beginning of this decade. After moving from New York, she had her first appearance in The Sea Gull. She's appeared in many off-Broadway shows, including Adam Rapp's Kindness, and Tracy Letts' Man from Nebraska.
